This summer we went to Washington, DC and then to Michigan to visit my parents and my sister's family. On the way back we stopped in Dayton, OH to vist the United States Air Force Museum.

Here we are at the the Lincoln Memorial. It was very hot and by the time we got here the children were very tired so everyone was looking for help to stand up.

Since the children were so tired, we naturally had a peaceful evening later in the hotel room. Alex and Lesia could not wait go to bed.

Of course, no trip to Washington would be complete without a visit to the White House to see Bill and the woman of the year.

Later it was on to Michigan. Here are my mother and father as well as my mother's two sisters. (My mother is
wearing blue.)

The best part of the trip for Alex and Lesia was the visit with their cousins.

I thought the coolest part of the trip was the air force museum.

Whoops. Wrong photo.

As I was saying, my favorite part of the trip was the air force museum.

In this last photo Beth and Alex are posing with my mother, father and sister as we are about to embark on the long trip back home. I think Alex is a little sad to be leaving. Notice the big smile on Beth's face. She has a big fresh jug of coffee and her visit with her in-laws is almost over.
