Hotshots v. Slam -Saturday, January 19, 2002 - Page 1

This was our first trip to the new Plano Star Center. Not enough parking, too many basketball courts and too many people crowed into a large building. A psychiatrist's dream location. But talk about great indoor lighting for a photographer. It may even be NBA quality. The lighting is a full 3 f-stops better than any non-professional stadium I have ever been in. (3 f-stops is a tremendous amount of light.) I was able to shut my lens down one f-stop to f4 and I still got shutter speeds of 1/320th second to 1/400th second. Boy howdy, is that ever nice. Remember, these photos were taken indoors without a flash.

The camera's meter got fooled on this shot.
