If players can expect to have opposing players slide in front of them when they are running at full speed, then I can only conclude that all participants in youth soccer will experience severe leg injuries during their careers. This is an enormous amount of stress to put on legs and knees.

I will forever be amazed by what a truly dangerous game soccer is. This was a completely legal play. Unlike basketball, in soccer a player with possession of the ball can legally be tripped off of his/her feet. This is as archaic and barbaric as my film camera. There are times when I think soccer is a stupid game. The number of young girls walking around with broken arms, legs and torn knees is eye opening. (Poor Bianca. She takes a bad fall and then her teammate kicks her in the head.) Oh, and by the way, this is not the player who broke her arm.

No, Doug is not in a bitchy mood because I have had too much to drink, T.West did not win, or the usual marital bliss. I just don't have my digital camera and it is driving me crazy as I am completely hooked. (Doug's gotta have it!!!!!)
